The majority of this group of learners come from two schools in the Jouberton Township in Klerksdorp. These two schools are Arefadimaheng and Methibong, one learner is from Wesvalia an two from Christialn Academy. Unemployment is alarmingly high in the Townships HIV/AIDS is not improving matters. The number of Aids orphans as well as the street children phenomenon is increasing daily.
This South African team represents all the young children in the world who are deprived and suffering in some way. Their mission is to create hope and opportunities for them. The majority of the team members have not been exposed to enterprise education at all. Because we have extremely limited sponsorship, even the transport fees from the township of Jouberton to the training area was a major problem. They are, however, very excited to be part of the Enterprise Olympics and are determined to hit the mark on behalf of all those who don't have centres where enterprise skills are taught. Hopefully as a result of their exposure new opportunities will dawn for their peers. Our very best wishes accompany them.
